some LO’s to share:

my latest DT LO for the BB newsletter/portal – we’re celebrating blue bazaar‘s birthday this week! congratulations luise & greg!! BB is a fantastic site with great shopping & one of the friendliest forums on the internet – be sure to stop by & say hello!

i used two negative sleeves – the top one lifts to reveal photos & journalling about what BB means to me.

& another just for fun …

kept this one clean & simple. the photo was taken on our last trip to the beach. i applied some filters in PSE3 & printed the photo on creative imaginations canvas – i love the effect! it looks fantastic IRL!

tagged again!

January 30, 2006

life has been a bit crazy since my husband was injured in a farm accident. we are so thankful, that my little boy was there to call for help & that even though the damage looks bad – at least the bones weren’t affected. which is amazing when you consider what happened. michael’s fingers are healing & he will be OK. the story made the front page of the local paper – it looks like the ambulance service will give bear an award for bravery. sooo proud of him! here they are with the ambo driver who helped on the day of the accident:

donna’s class – week 2

January 18, 2006

in donna’s class this week, we scrapped a whole year of photos on one LO. this was a fun project for me! since going digital, i process & print photos as i need them, so we have a whole lot less photos lying around. it was great to go back, look at the photos & relieve the memories. donna gave us some sketch options to use & at 1st i was going to try something different. but i liked her sketch – so i used it for these year in review LO’s for madi & bear.  i scrapped a whole year of photos donna!! yahhhh! 🙂

self portrait tuesday: personal history

January 16, 2006

OK so i know its not tuesday! but last week i mentioned self portrait tuesday – the theme this month is personal history & this morning i finally had a chance to play with some images. i had a vision of layering them & showing the full circle from when i was born til when my DD was born – but i decided to include a recent family portrait too. its the first time i’ve done a montage like this & i love how all the images are connected. i was also inspired by keisha‘s work to experiment with some gorgeous swirly brushes (you can find them here). although its not exactly what i imagined, it was such fun & i’m really happy with how it turned out!

images are: mum & i at my christening, my childhood home, me at age 5 (same age as my DD is now), my wedding day, my DD & i and a recent family portrait.

studio friday: eye spy more!

January 15, 2006

another one! we were making pancakes this morning & one was a bit runny & ran out the top. my DD said that she spied a sheep shape. at first, i didn’t see it, but then she pointed out the shape of the ears & the face … & we all saw she was right! DH added strawberry eyes … can you see it?

this afternoon, my DD was up her climbing tree & scraped her knee. bear came & said madi "had blood on her" so i went to take a look … fortunately she was OK & it was only a tiny bit of blood but i couldn’t help noticing that where the blood had smeared, it looked like a heart!!

i had such fun with this challenge – thanks so much to everyone who’s stopped by & commented! be sure to check out studio friday to see what other artists spied this week!
